As the second month of 2012 winds down I look back at all the things that have happened just this year!

Placing songs in TV/Film opportunities: Recently 3 of my songs have been placed in TV episodes as background music!
* Star Trek Enterprise – Carbon Creek – episode 28   at the 10:34 mark in the show – “Gently Falls”    plays for 1 minute 39 seconds!
* Surprise Homecoming – TLC hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus  – “Meredith Ann”  – music tracks play in the background   approx. 24 seconds.
* Auction Kings – Discovery Channel – Dino Poo episode   – “Carefree Days” plays for about 15 seconds in the background! More opportunities are being pursued daily for both Dave & Greg’s songs on sites such as MusicDealers.com and MusicSupervisor.com.

Song cut: We recently received word that “This Side Of Love”     co-written with Greg Shields, Dave Colvin and Bobby Rennert  had been selected to be recorded by a young female artist!      More details as they come in!!

Radio rotation play for Dave’s song “Kentucky In Me” on    SpaceCoastiRadio.com     where Dave is a Featured Artist!

Publishing Other Writers –  I am pleased to announce Arnybarn Music is now working with a few of songwriter, Greg Shields’ songs to see if they can be cut or placed in TV and Film opportunities!

Added song pitching Resource – Now a member of WriterTap.com a website that presents song opportunities to pitch to from all over including Europe!

Chris Keaton songplugging  I continue to get very good reports each month from Chris that my songs are being consdiered by major artists like Kenny Rogers, Tracy Byrd, Alabama, Mark Chesnutt, Thompsons Square and Billy Currington!

Remodel of the www.arnybarn.net website!
Click on over and let me know what you think of the new layout!

There are other things in the works I will report on soon.

So I am very busy at the business of songwriting and oh yes – I’ve already written three songs this year and working on a new CD that will hopefully be ready but late summer!

Please feel free to comment here or on any of the topics you may find here!
Thanks!

Dave Colvin
